Be your own captain with our bareboat rental
The Bareboat Charter is the ultimate expression of sailing freedom. If you hold a valid sailing licence (PER, PNB, YM, or equivalent), you can take the helm yourself and sail wherever the wind takes you — without a captain, on your own schedule, at your own pace. Our bareboat fleet is fully equipped with everything you need for a safe and comfortable day at sea: navigation equipment, safety gear, charts, and insurance. Departing from Port Olímpic, Barcelona's waters offer endless possibilities: head north towards the Maresme coast, south towards Sitges, or simply anchor in a secluded spot along the city's coastline. The Bareboat Charter is available for full-day hire (8 hours) and is perfect for experienced sailors who want complete independence on the water. We'll go through a short briefing when you arrive to familiarise you with the specific boat, and then you're free to go.
09:00 — Arrival at Port Olímpic. Boat briefing and equipment check.
09:30 — Departure. Head north, south, or anchor close to the city — your choice.
Anytime — Swimming stops, anchorage, or a visit to a coastal restaurant.
Flexible — Return whenever you wish within the 8-hour hire window.
17:00–17:30 — Return to marina and boat handover.
The Bareboat Charter is for licensed sailors (PER, PNB, YM, or equivalent) who want complete independence on the water. Ideal for experienced sailors visiting Barcelona who want to spend a day sailing without a guide, or resident sailors looking for a reliable and well-equipped charter boat.
You'll need a valid sailing licence for the boat category — typically PER (Patrón de Embarcación de Recreo), PNB, or an internationally recognised equivalent such as the RYA Day Skipper or ISPA licence. We'll verify your licence at the briefing.
The price includes the fully equipped boat, fuel for the day, third-party insurance, and safety equipment. Food, drinks, and any port fees at external marinas are not included.
